We collect information you provide to us, information collected automatically when you use our website, and information from third parties, in order to provide and improve our services.
- Information you provide: name, email address, mobile number, account details, measurements, listing details, messages, bank details for payouts, and identity documents for verification.
- Automatically collected information: device and browser information, IP address, pages visited and how you interact with our site.
- Information from third parties: payment confirmations from PayFast and SMS delivery reports from Twilio.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Create and manage your account.
- Facilitate dress listings, rentals and purchases.
- Verify identity and prevent fraud.
- Communicate with you about bookings, payments and support by SMS and email.
- Send marketing only if you opted in (you can opt out at any time).

We process personal information lawfully in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA), on the basis of your consent, to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, or for our legitimate interests.
3. Identity Documents
ID documents and selfies are used solely to verify your identity. They are stored encrypted in a restricted location, are never shown to other members, and are accessed only by our verification team.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure our forms, and analytics cookies to understand site performance. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
5. Payments & Transactions
Payments are processed securely by PayFast. We do not store your full card details. PayFast has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your information.
6. Communications
We send transactional SMS and email (for example booking confirmations, payment reminders and verification codes) through Twilio and our email provider. With your consent, we may also send marketing about new features, bridal inspiration and special offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
7. Sharing Your Information
We share only what is necessary: booking details between the bride and owner once a booking is confirmed, delivery details with courier partners, appointment details with fitting hubs, and visit details with assigned photographers. We never sell your personal information.
8. Data Security & Retention
We use industry-standard security, including encryption of sensitive data, to protect your information. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, financial records for five years).
9. Your Rights
Under POPIA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforeg.org.za).
